Favorite Writers

• Bill Bryson:  Hilarious writer.  Start with I’m a Stranger Here Myself, it is my personal favorite.
• Brennan Manning:  The Ragamuffin Gospel is life changing.
• Dallas Willard:  A fantastic writer on the spiritual disciplines. 
• Donald Miller:  His book; Blue Like Jazz was deeply moving and powerful.
• Erwin McManus:  This man is a voice, not an echo.
• Farley Mowat:  I have just recently been introduced to this writer, but I love his work!
• HW Brands:  One of my favorite biographers.
• Jasper Fforde:  The Thursday Next series of novels are some of the most creative I’ve ever read.  Fforde is a truly delightful story teller.
• Joseph Ellis:  Pulitzer Prize winning historian.

• 15 Steps to Cultivate Lifelong Learning:  An excellent article on the topic.
• Modern Scholar:  Excellent audio lecture series from some of the world’s best educators.  If they are cost prohibitive for you, then check out your local library for them.
• Online Education Database:  A very robust site filled with all sorts of helpful links.
• Open Courseware Consortium:  Free syllabi, lectures notes, audio programs, reading lists, etc., from the world’s leading universities.

Theology and Apologetics

• Apologetics Index:  Excellent resources and research.  Combines information from over 25,000 sites.
• Center for Reformed Theology and Apologetics:  The name says it all.
• Protestant Reformed Theological Journal:  A very good and free journal of reformed theology.  This site contains PDF files of all their old issues.
• Reformation Theology:  An excellent site about…well…reformation theology.
• Sound Advice for Studying Theology at Home:  And excellent tool from the Reformation Theology website.
• The Evangelical Manifesto:  A call for Evangelicas to be whom they were called to be.
