Whoops. I looked up the grill you are looking at and it isn't a grill but a camp stove. If I had read what you wrote that would have been clear. Duh. It looks nice!

I haven't used that particular grill, but the "grill part" (the part you put the meat on) looks pretty wide. Looks like hot dogs will go right down in there! Most state park sites have grills already available, but it is nice to have your own. I have a Coleman propane grill that works great and is very handy. You would be welcome to it if you like.

Hi everybody!

Oh it was really fun to have headlights and also if your camping site have electricity, bring extensive chords. And pee bowls (hehehe). At early night, the sky with stars, moons, witches (kidding) is an excellent view to watch and enjoy while in tent laying but dont forget to close your tent window when you are about to sleep because you will really freezing in cold with the morning dews or rain.

Dana: Awesome tips! Thanks so much. I LOVE the tub idea. One of the camgrounds we are going to in September is minutes away from the former capital of the Cherokee Nation, we will be taking a tour on one of the days we are there.

Thanks again, those are two great ideas.

Also check. A lot of campgrounds have neat programs for children where they can learn about the park from rangers and sometimes earn little badges. We did a lot of that sort of thing as kids, and it was never planned. We just sort of discovered it once we got to the campground.

Camping is great fun! One thing my parents did was get a couple of those plastic storage tubs when they were on sale after Christmas...red and green, but way cheap! Anyway, they packed them with old towels, old silverware, etc. so that most of our camping stuff was just stored in those tubs. When we wanted to go camping, most of it was already packed. Then we used the tubs for dishes while camping.

ckroboth: Man, you really are a techie huh?! And I can honestly say that we really do love being together as a family. Even as my kids are getting older and spending more and more time with their friends, we still love being together.

The TP is definitely a good tip!

Thanks brother.

By a Camper...

TV, Radio, Xbox, Shower.... Can all be included... ;)

Just messing with ya Joe...

I am not much of a camper so I have no real advice other than: Just enjoy being a family. Enjoy the little things with each other. Take plenty of patience and laughter. Oh and toilet paper, plenty of toilet paper...
