The Blank Bible Project
February 1, 2008 by PeregrinJoe
I ran across this today in my surfing activities, and wanted to share it with you. A Blank Bible comes from pastor, theologian, writer and key figure in the American Great Awakening: Jonathan Edwards. The idea is to disassemble a bible and then put it back together with several blank pages per 1 page of text. You then use the blank pages for notes, prayers, journal entries, etc. regarding the text. What you end up with is a beautiful record of your spiritual journey. It’s a fantastic idea that I am going to try myself. Of course this can also be done with any book you would like to study more in depth.
Below are some links you can follow for more information, pictures, etc. for your own Blank Bible Project.
1. The Shepherd’s Scrapbook: This is where I first read about this project.
2. The Blank Bible Chronicles: Here you can see and read a record of his Blank Bible Project.
3. Cross-Eyed: Great pics of a Blank Bible Project.
4. The Blank Bible: You can buy a copy of Edward’s blank bible with all of his notes at this link.
5. Word Press Tag: All of the WordPress blog posts on this topic.
Have fun!
